01. What are Kegel balls?

02. What are the functions of Kegel balls?

Kegel balls are an effective tool for preventing female pelvic floor dysfunction. They can help recover female pelvic floor diseases. They are also the most important supplementary method in medicine besides common methods for treating pelvic floor diseases.

The mechanism of action of the Kegel ball: The user puts the vaginal contraction ball into the vagina, performs vaginal and anal contraction movements and keeps it from falling. The weight of the ball itself is used to help the user find the pelvic floor muscles and learn to contract the pelvic floor correctly. muscles, and then gradually increase the weight of the ball to increase the intensity of the exercise, thereby better helping the pelvic floor recovery. Moreover, with the muscle contraction movement, local blood circulation improves, and the vibration generated by the shrinking vaginal ball can also promote nerve recovery and improve vaginal tactile sensitivity.

How to use Kegel balls

First, lie in a semi-supine position and slowly insert the vaginal shrinking ball into the vagina (if vaginal dryness or other reasons prevent the vaginal shrinking ball from being inserted, you can try using lubricant, and do not force it in to avoid damage).
Insert and rotate at the same time to facilitate the entry of the vaginal contraction ball. When the tail of the vaginal contraction ball is about 2cm away from the vaginal opening, contract the pelvic floor muscles. Be careful not to use force on the buttocks. If the ball rises, it means that you have correctly found the position of the pelvic floor muscles.
Continue and repeat the pelvic floor muscle contraction and relaxation exercises and keep the vaginal ball from falling out to exercise the pelvic floor muscles. Note that you should feel the ball rise as you contract.
Next, train in a standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart when standing. If you cannot clamp the ball while standing, continue training in the supine position. If the ball does not fall out while standing, you can practice walking, climbing stairs, coughing, jumping and other actions after 2-3 days. If you can hold the ball while jumping and keep it from falling for a week, you can change it to the next weight ball, and so on.
Each ball size can be used for exercise for 2 weeks or more. Do not rush to replace it. Exercise for 15-20 minutes each time.

03. How to clean Kegel balls?

Clean Kegel balls before first use. You can choose relatively mild cleaning agents such as hand soap and shower gel, or purchase special cleaning agents. Do not use iodine, alcohol or other chemical reagents to clean or wipe the medical rubber rope to avoid damage. After cleaning, rinse with clean water and dry before use. Be careful not to expose it to the sun and do not wash it with overheated water.

04. Contraindications when using Kegel balls

A. It is contraindicated during menstruation and unexplained bleeding;
B. It is contraindicated in the acute phase of vaginitis and urethritis;
C. Disabled when allergic to unknown reasons;
D. Contraindicated during pregnancy;
E. If there are wounds or incisions on the vaginal wall, it is recommended to wait for one month after recovery before use;
F. Do not use the recovery device during or immediately after sex.
